MSEM 3200 Environmental Monitor
Sensigent’s newest products are Multi-Sensor Environmental Monitors (MSEM). An MSEM™ uses a diverse set of sensor technologies and proprietary multi-sensor data fusion algorithms for measurement and analysis of complex mixtures including aromas and malodors in many settings.
The MSEM™ 3200 is an Instrumental Odor Monitor System (IOMS) for detection and monitoring of odors and chemicals. The MSEM 3200 IOMS is a rugged, compact monitor designed for unattended, continuous operation 24/7/365 in all weather conditions (IP65, NEMA 4X) to exceed standards (EN, ASTM, NTA 9055) for odor monitoring. It is configured for AC mains, DC battery- or solar-powered operation for use outdoor in remote locations or wherever needed. Data is sent via secure access over WiFi, cellular networks (personal SIM) or dedicated radios (900 MHz, 2.4 GHz), as well as reporting through the MSEM™ Cloud data server application. Each MSEM 3200 has a unique IP address for quick and secure access.
The MSEM 3200 IOMS system provides standard accessories and options for:
- Weather monitoring (T, P, RH, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall) for input to AERMOD,
- Particulate monitoring (PM 2.5, PM 10) with particle size discrimination and heated inlet,
- Solar power operation with turn-key solar kits with panel, charge controller and battery,
- Custom sensor configurations to monitor a wide range of VOCs and gases from malodors (H2S, CH3SH, NH3) to pollutants (CO, O3, SOx, NOx) and toxic gases (HCl, COCl2, EtO) and many more,
- AERMOD dispersion modeling software for tracking and predicting the movement of odors and chemical plumes (in ppm and OU) from the source to the fenceline and beyond,
- Field olfactometers to update and localize the factory odor calibration to the prevailing odor mixtures at each site,
- OdorPrep™ systems to collect large volume air samples for olfactometric analysis off-site where required by local regulations or operating permits. OdorPrep air sampling is triggered by the MSEM 3200 IOMS detection and alarm events.
The MSEM 3200 IOMS uses Sensigent’s multi-sensor data fusion technology to combine data from multiple types of sensors to enable simultaneous measurement of concentrations of individual chemicals (in ppm or mg/m3) and the intensity of odors (in OU/m3) and other mixtures. Sensigent’s proprietary ODOR ID™ technology identifies odor mixtures based on the composition of local odor sources. In complex industrial settings with multiple facilities, operations and odor sources, ODOR ID identifies the odor source to aid investigations.
Use the MSEM 3200 IOMS indoor to monitor production lines, greenhouses or storage facilities for many different industries, and general monitoring for leaks and chemical releases. Use it outdoor to monitor odor levels and chemicals from wastewater, landfills, composting, fumigation, rendering, chemical storage and other odor-producing operations.
